Yuba City, CA, February 2, 2010 – Yuba Sutter Mall is pleased to announce the solicitation of community nominations for area residents caught in Random Acts of Kindness to receive free mall gift cards throughout the month of February. 

“For twenty years, Yuba Sutter Mall has enjoyed the loyalty of shoppers in the greater Yuba City and Marysville areas,” said Yuba Sutter Mall marketing director Junell Johnson.  “Inspired by the spirit of Random Acts of Kindness, we thought a reward program would be a nice way to incite community goodwill and expenditures for our merchants at the same time,” she said.

According to Random Acts of Kindness foundation, February 15 to February 21 is officially Random Acts of Kindness week for 2010.  But the Random Acts of Kindness reward program at Yuba Sutter Mall is all month long.  “We wanted to make certain the community had enough time to respond,” said Johnson.

Over 1,000 letters have gone out to miscellaneous ambassadors to represent area residents.  “We sent solicitation letters to a wide range of people, from radio sales reps to stay at home parents,” she said.  “We wanted a cross section of people that might know of and be able to tell a story about a community member they thought should be rewarded for a Random Act of Kindness,” said Johnson.  “We know there are great stories out there in our neighborhoods, it’s just a matter of hearing about them.”

Yuba Sutter Mall is asking for nominations to be sent in throughout the month and winners will get a letter good for a $10 Yuba Sutter Mall gift card if redeemed at Guest Services.  The mall has budgeted for over 100 winners.
